Year End Awards

  • In order to be eligible for Year End Awards, the rider/handler of each horse much be a member in good standing with the UHC.
  • A Novice Rider or Horse is defined as a Rider or a Horse who has not yet received five (5) first place awards other than in Halter classes before January 1st of the current year in any division in any show except awards won before the exhibitor is 11 years of age.  Any 1 horse classes will be exempt from counting toward the 5 First place rule.
  • Points will be calculated from the date that the membership form is submitted, pending board approval.

GENERAL RULES FOR ALL AWARDS


  1. Award Winner must be a UHC member in good standing.
  2. Adults are 19 & Over, Youth are 18 & Under as of January 1 of the current year.
  3. Points are   accumulated on all mandatory & optional classes that are PRINTED on the published class sheet. If a class is not on the UHC mandatory or optional class list, points from the class will not count toward awards. If a class is added the day of the show, points will not be counted. [Note: Points are based on horse/rider combination) 
  4. Points will be available for viewing on website within 7 business days after show.
  5. If you show WESTERN, your points count toward WESTERN special awards.    If you show WORKING WESTERN, your points count toward WORKING WESTERN special awards. If you show HUNT SEAT, your points count toward ENGLISH special awards. If you show SADDLE SEAT, your points count toward ENGLISH special awards. 
  6. In order to qualify for a year end Overall High point & Overall Reserve High Point Award – Adult or Youth – Western, Working Western, Hunt Seat, or Arabian – horse/rider combination must accumulate a minimum of 50 points total.
